This is an Australian Eastern Water Dragon. He is in a city garden and he is sitting atop this rock to get a view of any approaching male lizard that might encroach on his territory. He is completely used to humans but is quite aggressive to other lizards. He is very handsome and these reptiles are much loved by the residents of Brisbane.
