Behind The Lens

Location

I took the picture at a hotel in Durango, Mexico.

Time

I wanna say it was taken around afternoon, where some sun was shining in but not too much light.

Lighting

I wanted to show the contrast between light and dark in a somewhat modern touch. Also, to show the power of exposures towards meaning and quality of a picture

Equipment

Surprisingly, I used my IPhone 7 Plus (no flash)

Inspiration

I just happened to see the light perfectly hit the plant and decided to shoot the moment.

Editing

I believe the only edit I did was a little vignette

In my camera bag

Like most people, my IPhone is first point of contact and if I am prepared, I will usually have my D500 with me

Feedback

Shooting objects requires a certain amount of natural light. Study your object for a few days and determine when the natural light is good enough
