Behind The Lens

Location

I was at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I went on the safari ride and I had my telephoto lens ready hoping to capture something amazing! Lucky for me this lion was very close and perfectly positioned for a great picture!

Time

This was taken approximately at 2:45 pm.

Lighting

I used natural lighting! I was in a loving vehicle couldn’t use anything else.

Equipment

This was shot with a canon T4i in manial mode with a telephoto lens 70-200 mm 4.0

Inspiration

I wanted to capture animals that you normally don’t see in everyday life here in Florida.

Editing

I shot in raw format and used photoshop to enhance colors and sharpness also added a sky overlay as the original image had the sky over exposed a bit. Played with the contrast and curves and fixed the color balance

In my camera bag

Since then i have upgraded my gear now I can’t go anywhere without my 70-300mm lens 2.8 it is my go to lens! I also carry my nifty fifty 1.8! I have other lenses but i mainly use those two!! I carry a canon flash 600 ex and a multipurpose reflector.

Feedback

Just be ready! This shots are not easy to get specially in a moving vehicle! I always carry my camera with me because you never know what amazing things you may encounter!
