Went birding this morning and encountered this beautiful egret. The sun was warm and this bird went through the motions of preening, accompanied by neck stretching and the raising of a foot, it is a signal that the bird is defending territory or possessions, and is trying to ward off the "intruder". I thought....morning yoga!
