I took this photo at Raeburn Orchards Perth, during Autumn, this orchard is famous for their Persimmons and colorful display of autumn leaves amongst Perth's photography community.Time
This is one of the most favourite photo I took of my daughter, taken during golden hour, sun was almost setting and we were packing up, but my daughter still wanted to explore around.Lighting
It was a beautiful partly cloudy day, with perfectly diffused light, and the sun was almost setting, it was time for us to leave, but she wanted to do what every 4-year-old wants, to explore! As soon as I saw her walking towards the end of the lane, I loved the beautifully diffused light, almost like a fog and quickly set up the shot.Equipment
This was shot via Nikon d750, My vintage helios 44-22 mm lens, handheld.Inspiration
I am always drawn towards colors, bold and vivid colors, hence Autumn is always my favorite season to photograph, there is something magical about leaves changing colors, falling, and their crackling sound under my feet. Hence this is one of my preferred places to capture some memories for our family every year.Editing
very little touchup with lightroom, mainly adjusting the contrast and white balance. In my camera bag
I absolutely adore my 56mm on fujixt2, and with Nikon these days my go-to lens is my Sigma 105 mm. Although I am slowly getting hooked to Lensbaby lenses these days.Feedback
I'd say its good to do your homework, scout locations, and be aware of the lighting situations and limitations, because sometimes things change at the last minute, so always have a backup plan, or don't be disappointed with letting go. I planned for weeks, had everything in mind, props ready and wanted her to look at camera and smile, but it's the last minute of her walking away from me was the one to be more close to my heart.
