Location
These mushrooms were growing under an old apple tree in rural New Brunswick, Canada.Time
The photo was taken on a bright sunny summer afternoon.Lighting
Although it was a bright day, we (me and the mushrooms) were under an apple tree, an I (or my camera) was under the mushrooms. Finding ample lighting can be tricky but rewarding when in the woods and close to the ground.Equipment
I have to admit to simply using my cell phone for taking pictures.Inspiration
One of my favorite pastimes is foraging for mushrooms in the woods, and taking photos is a very important part of the process. These are called Honey mushrooms; I know that from experience, but I always take detailed photos for identification purposes.Editing
No.In my camera bag
I just carry my phone, and a portable power Pac. Along with foraging tools, of course.Feedback
When taking photos of mushrooms, you really need to get right down there amongst them. Getting that close to nature is a reward in itself!
