I took this photo on the balcony at home using a fish bowl filled with water. I'm more of a street photographer. This was just an experiment for me.Time
All I remember is starting in the morning. I was to engrossed to consider what time it was. The shoot lasted for over 5 hours. It was so interesting !Lighting
I used the flash light of my phone ! As I was experimenting I kept trying to place it in different positions. The best one being at the bottom with the fish bowl literally standing on my phone. So basically on a flat surface I placed the phone with the flash light facing upwards and then put the fish bowl on my phone.Equipment
At that time I had an entry level canon camera - 1100D, So that and I also used my phone flash light.Inspiration
There were paint bottles lying at home and that did it for me. I wanted to incorporate solid physical colour and see what I could do with it as I'm not so good at painting with physical brushes. Painting with light works for me.Editing
I had to make the colour stand out and so I increased a little contrast, saturation and decreased the brightness a little. In my camera bag
Just my camera and an extra battery and lens.Feedback
Experiment with different colours. Add more than one colour to the water. Its beautiful to look at too ! Use a clean fish bowl (kinda ironic how the colour forms the shape of a fish in the picture I clicked. That was obviously not planned.) and so it's fun to see the kind of form your colour wiping take.
