I got an opportunity to be driven out in private property in SW Colorado, to a spot that looked across to La Sal Maountain. We heard lions fighting and everything, this was TOTALLY remote. As the sun hit the horizon I took several exposures across the EV range and then used a combo of HDR software and hand blending to get the final image. 5D Mark II, 16-35mm, no filters. Sun star was due to long exposure and small aperture.
