Great closeup photograph. Well done in your selective focusing as well as the color tone and detail.

Location
Moving to the south east of Western Australia to a little town of Hopetoun for work I arrived in the gorgeous little sea side town next door to the Fitzgerald River National Park. The FRNP has this Wildflower plant which is unique to the region. The Royal Hakea or Hakea Victoria plant is in abundance in many differnent colours bight reds, oranges, yellow and green sometimes all within one plant.Time
Walking in the FRNP I had the whole park to myself due to it being in such an isolated area, the area was covered in different coloured Royal Hakea but this one seemed to sick out with its bright orange colour and the way the light was hitting it in the afternoon sun.Lighting
This was taken in the afternoon when the sun was at it brightest which really brought out the detail of the leaves.Equipment
This is one of the first photos I took with my new Nikon D500 so I was experimenting with the Bokeh settings. I had been living in the part of Australia for 6 months before saving up to buy a camera to capture the magnificent wildflowers and rugged cost of the Fitzgerald River National Park. My job was going to be made redundant and I was going to have to move from this paradise so wanted to make sure I had the option of capturing it beauty in th three months before I moved back to Perrh WA. At this stage I only had my 35mm lens and no tripod.Inspiration
The Royal Hakea or Hakea Victoria is named after Queen Victoria by the first explorers to the area and the plants foliage is truely spectacular the colours are bright and vivid and the plants can grow up to 3 metres tall. They are like nothing I had ever seen before and are native to the south coast of Western Australia between Esperance and Albany. They have coloured foliage and white flowers which are a hidden in the foliage.Editing
There was a small amount to post production to bring the colour out as I saw it on the day.In my camera bag
A true amateur I have recently purchased a Nikon D500 and am looking forward to exploring more of the Australia Outback with my camera, the colours of the outback are truly amazing and the wild flowers of Western Australia are spectacular. A macro lense, tripod and wide lens for landscape are definitely on my wish list which is why I joined View Bug and maybe a course or two.Feedback
Just getting out and about with nature poses so many amazing opportunities to capture great shots when you least expect it and it is good for the soul to be one with nature.
