The Col du Galibier is beetween the Savoie and the Isère department in the French alps. It is over 2000m so the sky is really clean but you can see the light pollution into the valley. At the bottom of the milkyway you can see the Barre des Ecrins which is the highest summit of the Ecrins massif.
