After a six hour drive and a 15 minute sprint around the lake with my gear, I arrived at the Jetty drenched with sweat in time to snap a couple of quick photos before the colours faded. Part of the Southern Alps can be seen behind parting clouds. Mount Cook, New Zealand's highest peak remained shrouded during this shoot.
