This photo was taken in Little Rock, AR. at a swamp I had just discovered.Time
It was taken in the evening. I had just found the swamp and had to stop and take some shots. I noticed how the sun was bringing the colors out so nicely and highlighting different areas. The water was mirror like with wonderful reflections! I had to stay around awhile and get several shots.Lighting
I wanted to get the lighting as I was seeing it. It was dramatic and brought the colors out so vividly.Equipment
It was shot with a Canon Rebel and most likely my 30mm fixed lens.Inspiration
I had been to Florida to visit my brother, who is also a photographer. We had never had the opportunity to shoot together and one of our trips was to a swamp near his home. I loved the cypress trees and photos we got. When I got back to Arkansas, where I lived, I discovered a swamp near my home that I had not known was there... and yes, there were lots of cypress trees! So, of course, I had to get some shots.Editing
I did a little post processing to bring out some of the colors that had shown as well as I wanted.In my camera bag
I normally carry my Canon Rebel with several lenses; a 30mm fixed, 85mm fixed, 14-55 kit lens, 70-200mm, and 75-300mm. They are all Canon lenses. Of course, I carry a tripod most of the time, as well.Feedback
I know that a swamp can be beautiful and at sunset the colors come out very vividly and beautiful! It a great time to shoot.
