Location
I took this photo at my stable yard, I used my biggest inspiration Bold One (my horse) who I also happened to name my photography company after him, he was my first willing model.Time
This photo was taken at about 1-2pm, I came after a university lecture to spend some time with my horse after a stressful day. He always was able to calm my nerves and I thought I'd take a snap of my handsome boy.Lighting
I wanted to get a close up of his eye, the lighting wasn't my main focus here. I just wanted as much detail as I could possibly get of the door to the soul.Equipment
I used a canon 500d, no flash was used and the lense used was Canon EF 75 - 300mm f4.0-5.6 III LensInspiration
My horse was my inspiration, he has such kind eyes and I just wanted to keep a piece of him forever, which I did through many pictures, and it helped the grieving process a lot when I had to say goodbye to my comfort, rock and partner of 9 years.Editing
Not on this photo. In my camera bag
multiple lenses and the camera, minimalistic but sometimes simple creates the most real photos.Feedback
Just snap away, there's beauty in absolutely everything.
