Since 1912 a funicular has been transporting tourists and skiers from the picturesque village of Murren up to Allmendhubel, a mountain meadow with heavenly views, a ski lift, the Pesci restaurant shown in this photo. From here there are several trails leading into spectacular mountain valleys. If you go to Murren don't miss this even if you just go up and sit out on the restaurant's deck and have a beer and lunch.
