Tuan now lives happily at Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre deep in the Dorset, UK countryside. He arrived at the rescue in January 2002 and is estimated to have been born in 1987. He was found wandering loose in Taichung City, Taiwan and it took 3 days to capture him. He had been smuggled as a baby and kept as an illegal pet until he escaped from his previous owner.

A truly beautiful picture, superbly sharp and a wonderful capture of this majestic, sentient cousin of ours. The people who keep such animals as pets should be locked upo for a long, long time. They are criminals.
