I shot this at the cooper park pond in Elgin Moray Scotland. I had my left hand in the very cold water and shooting with my other hand while lying on the wet pavement with a few odd stares from passers by which allways puts a smile on my face.

Behind The Lens

Location

I shot this in the local park pond in Elgin Moray. I was thinking about this image for ages then one night when i was at home the idea came to me and i got my gear and went to the pond. It was a wet night and i had a cover from the car put it on the pavement round the pond lay on it and stuck my hand in the very cold water.

Time

It was around 7.30 p.m.

Lighting

No flash required.

Equipment

Nikon D3100 and basic kit lens 18-55.

Inspiration

At the time of taking this photo i was in a very dark place in my life and i felt nobody could help or even listen. I suppose i was crying out for help, this is one of my favourite photos as it means so much to me.

Editing

No none at all.

In my camera bag

I now have a Nikon D7100 and 35m lens and a Tamron 18-270.

Feedback

This is how i was feeling at the time and to me the photo tells a story. If you ever have an idea for a photo then shoot it.
