This building is one of the very first structures to be built in Kingsville, Texas since the community's establishment in 1904. Fun fact, the origins of Kingsville came from the need for an efficient railroad service connecting Brownsville, Texas to St. Louis, Missouri. The King ranch deeded over the land needed for the railroad's construction. To celebrate Kingsville’s 100th Birthday, the structure was restored and the museum opened its doors on July 4th, 2004 – 100 years to the date that the city was Chartered.
