I often walk up and down one of the oldest areas that was colonized in North America. The Lachine canal was built to help the fur trade. We as a family go for daily walks or a week end walk from one end to another and this is a fairly new bridge built. It replaces a much smaller one that raised to let boats pass. This particular spring day as you can see the Ice thawing out within the canal. It was the first dry and warm day that day and it is the starting point to our walk since we live quite near..
