Wow, beautiful Snipe. We have three Snipes here in South Africa, the African Snipe and Great Snipe (both Gallinago spp) and also the Greater Painted Snipe (Rostratula spp).

Roenolog, you're the first to comment on this shot. Thanks so much! As you know, this sub species of Gallinago Paraguaiae migrates in summer to the Falklands. There's supposed to be 8000 breeding pairs, but I was there for a week and only got this one sighting.
