Location
My friend and I were on a 'tour' of the icebergs in a glacial lake in New Zealand. They had recently been hit by several intense earthquakes which had broken off a significant portion of the glacier so we had to keep our distance but the lake was full of icebergs. This lake (I believe it was Tasman Lake) was up within sight of Mount Cook and is where scenes from Lord of the Rings was filmed.Time
This was mid-afternoon and even though we were among icebergs, it was a beautiful sunny, warm day.Lighting
We were in a kodiak on a summer day, so just natural light.Equipment
A Canon Powershot SX220 HS. No flash, no special lensInspiration
The contrast between the blue sky and the white of the iceberg. As well as the contrast between the dirty iceberg and the 'fresh' one. And if you use your imagination you can see it resembles a whale. 'Editing

Not much, I carry two cameras, the Powershot SX 220 and a Powershot SX710 HS. Extra batteries for both and a mini tripod.Feedback
I'm a total amateur, so I have no advice for any of you who are much more talented!
