We lost a national treasure today. I wish I had spent more time admiring this beauty. The Columbia River Gorge is largely why I moved to Portland in the first place. Now it's all gone, burned to the ground by teenage garbage. This is the saddest day of my life. I don't cry often, but today I am in tears. There aren't words to fully describe the gaping hole my heart right now. Goodbye.
