Close-up of the Pied Currawong (Strepera graculina), a medium-sized black passerine bird native to eastern Australia. Not endangered by any means they may be considered a pest in urban areas. This photo was taken in the Megalong Valley while we stopped to eat lunch. Note the distinctive yellow eye, and prominent beak.
