Beautiful!

Behind The Lens

Location

Glasgow quayside.

Time

Filenames hour late summer 2017

Lighting

I wanted light reflection on the river

Equipment

Nokia D5200, Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, tripod and Zomei ND 1000

Inspiration

I have only owned a camera for 8 months. I wanted to try my first cityscape and this was the result.

Editing

Yes. I used Lightroom and NIK effects to create contrast and details in the shadows. I discovered long exposure noise for the first time and tried my best to repair using a luminosity mask. I am proud of the outcome for a first attempt.

In my camera bag

D5200, cheap shutter release cable, cheap tripod, SRB filters, Polaroid polariser and Tamron 17-50mm lens.....

Feedback

Just get out the and follow your instinct. I am hoping to show you don't need years of experienece and expensive equipment to create lovely images. Just enthusiasm and some basic equipment is all you need......feel free to have a look at my new fb page where I try to show this....https://www.facebook.com/PhotographybySamuelQuinn/
