Early in our trek through the Sumatran rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park we found two female Orangutans, each with child. We watched these four for quite some time while they played, explored and interacted in the canopy above us. As one of the pairs started to move further into the rainforest our guide indicated that we should follow them quietly, so we eagerly picked up our packs and began to follow him further into the rainforest to continue our journey.
As we moved away from the stationery pair, we cast a look back at them and were once again overwhelmed with the facial expressions of these amazing creatures.
