An early morning captureLighting
The fog meant the lighting was quite dull so I used a high ISO to get as much light in as possible.Equipment
Sometimes I take a tripod on a foggy morning, sometimes I just get a solid position, take a deep breath and hold the camera as still as possible, you never know when you need to take a pic on a dull day so you may not always have a tripod with you.Inspiration
It is quite unusual to capture cormorants all banded together like this. All the birds around me on the day were effected by the cold. I was very luck to captured them on the day. I love the atmosphere foggy days bring.Editing
I sometimes use a touch of contrast to give a little more definition. In my camera bag
I have very little equipment, mainly only an ND filter for water pics and a tripod. I would like to purchase more equipment. I like to play with different camera settings and choose the best capture when I am at home.Feedback
Take advantage of different weather conditions, I have learnt to go walking at different times of the day. Wrap up and put your camera in your jacket if its a damp day, its worth the effort!! I can walk around the same place every week and find something different to capture!!
