I took this shoot on our vacation at Daytona Beach, Florida from the hotel’s waterfront lawn.Time
It was 7:01 in the morning when I took this picture. Waiting for SunriseLighting
I always like the sunrise. It always reminds of a new day, a fresh start and a start of new adventure. I wanted to capture the rays of the sun as naturally as possible when the big star rises from the horizon and when when rays reflects on the water.Equipment
I was using a Canon 80D; 1/160 F8.0 100 ISO The setting in on landscape, The ambience was on vivid and default/scene-based shot No flash and no tripodInspiration
I am fascinated with how the sun rays plays of the water And the different hues it givesEditing
I didn’t use any post processing on it. I like it as natural as it getsIn my camera bag
At that time, I only have my canon 80D and EFS 18-135mm lense.Feedback
Being an amateur at photography, I take a lot of shots with one particular scene and play with the settings on the camera. I didn’t attend any online classes so I basically try to capture scene as naturally as possible. I found out that the best shots I got is during sunrise, early morning, late afternoon and dusk. 1 good picture always comes from a lot of clicks.
