I'm sharing with you a few things about me. So here it is, this is me:
Fact 1:
"I have a thing for my face????". I love self-portraits, been doing them probably since 2006-2007. There is just something about me and my camera that gives me comfort. And to some extend it helped me build self confidence in my early teens. I was always the smart, skinny and cute one. My friends were the hot ones. I could never wear my friends clothes because I was too small, and I didn't like that. But I would always have the prettiest photos of myself, because I would take them myself. I'd set up the camera in a corner (didn't have a tripod back then), set the timer, click the button and run back to the spot I was aiming at. I used to spend whole afternoons doing that, and I loved it. But I had a lot of focus issues, especially when I got my DSLR. So these days I'm very grateful for my remote.
I also always hated the fact that people wouldn't take pictures of me as I'd take of them. I have the patience to look at you for minutes and wait until the right moment to press the trigger. Wait until the moment you're more you. But not many people have that patience, and that's okay. So I do self-portraits, 'cause that's the best way to show everyone else how I see myself.
P.S. I don't think I've ever really told people this ????... probably because I never really thought about it up until I decided to post things about me.
