Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a tour of Barcelona, in the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia.

Time

There was a good sunny day, and the light gently passed through the stained glass, I had to try to make a shot, because there were a lot of tourists.

Lighting

inside the cathedral quite dim lighting, but passing daylight through stained glass gave an incredible atmosphere, highlighting the structure and beauty of the cathedral.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon 810, with an 24-70 mm lens

Inspiration

In this case, probably I was inspired by the process of shooting, very few people like to look up and admire what is happening from above. (well, except for photographers)

Editing

Yes, of course there was a post-processing process, since the amount of light at the top is more than inside the cathedral, I used color correction, white balance correction, light and shadow levels, and underestimated noise.

In my camera bag

Usually I use Nikon d810 and a lens 24-70 mm, I can also take an additional Tokina 16-28 mm and nikon 105 mm (macro), but most of my desires and goals cover 24-70 mm, it all depends on what I set myself goals :)

Feedback

In my opinion, if you want to take photos of such a plan, it is important to find the center of the composition, and be directly under it, otherwise there will be a distortion of the symmetrical elements, try to think in advance of the frame and understand how it will look in the finished version. Of course, experimenting with different angles is necessary and useful, if a number of factors allow. And do not forget to share your creativity with other people. Good luck :))
