Once every few years there is a unique surf competition called "the Eddie" (in honor of Eddie Akai). It is only held if the waves reach 30 feet in height. We were lucky enough to see these massive waves in Hawaii when the competition was happening. The waves reached peaks of 50 feet in height. Incredible to see.
