Behind The Lens

Location

This image is part of a collection of photos taken at Jump Off Joe Lake Resort in Valley, Washington.

Time

While on vacation with a friend, we rented a cabin to kick back and relax. It was autumn, and we enjoyed a bit of fall rain.

Lighting

The overcast clouds didn't get in the way of watching a paddling of ducks go on about their business through a drizzly Saturday!

Equipment

I use a Canon PowerShot SX510 HS 12.1 MP CMOS Digital Camera. This day I used no flash or tripod.

Inspiration

I enjoy watching everything in nature, with its preponderance of creatures and animals. So I sit with patience and alertness, hoping for that brief moment when they forget I am there.

Editing

I do not remember which photos in this collection I may have cropped a bit. This photo looks to be one that I may have. I was pleased with how they came out using this camera!

In my camera bag

All I need is the camera, with a charger. When the Memory card fills, I figure it's time to head home from any photoshoot. I have not set up the wireless upload feature as I am not usually in an area with a connection.

Feedback

Location, time, and patience are the elements that I look for when out on a spontaneous photo shoot. A steady hand is good too!
