Golden opportunities often occur not far from home, but we do not always see the beauty in our own backyard.

My lovely friend and her two gorgeous friesian colts on their farm in the countryside.

Taken late afternoon in a friend's backyard, it's amazing what treasures you can find by just looking around you.

Acacia karoo (Kameeldoring). Taken while on a hike with a friend in a nature reserve in Bloemfontein, Free State South Africa.

Their bond is strong and their love for each other runs deep, these two are inseparable.

Bloubergstrand kites

These cactuses are the size of a persons' hands, and I am jealous of their view.

These are tiny cactuses in a planter, but I felt like the mountains in the background make these look like big cactuses somewhere in a Texan desert.

Took this picture while visiting my friend at her home on a farm outside my hometown. This little donkey looked so sad, so I gave it a carrot.
