Prior to mating the male kingfisher offers the female fish. In this case she refused it and pecked him on the head whenever he got close enough.

Starling Aggression

Siskin versus Goldfinch

Juvenile starlings squabbling. They are so aggressive and the feathers often fly.

This image was taken late in the day just as a storm was rolling in. 5 minutes later we were soaked and in the middle of a thunder storm.
