This photo was taken in an animal sanctuary. I am a self taught photographer, and I learned my reading and watching other photographers.Time
This photo was taken right before lunch time. My family and I were looking around the sanctuary as something to do, because the skies looked rainy. With no tripod, I balanced my camera on the fence that contained this adorable Screech Owl.Lighting
This was taken outside, on a day with very dark, grey skies. On my way back from taking the image, it started to pour.Equipment

Since I am using a compact digital camera, I don’t have to carry much. I just have my Nikon Coolpix P530, extra batteries and an extra SD card.Feedback
Shooting animals can be challenging. Your chances of getting “that shot” come very quickly and they may not last long. Be patient, but when you have an opportunity, take it and get some fabulous photos.
