Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken in the beautiful grounds of Sieont Manor, beneath the Snowdonia mountian range in Wales.

Time

Definately one of my favourite photos taken on the early morning walk by the river.

Lighting

Due to the tree covering I needed to lighten the image, so I utilised the built in flash.

Equipment

I often feel a cheat when asked this question, but due to the fact that I took my time and planned the shot I am confident to say that I used an Xperia mobile phone. I am a great believer that all cameras, including phones can be used these days as primary and back up cameras.

Inspiration

It is a natural photo. I did not tamper with nature. The image is photographed as I found it. The beauty of Nature.

Editing

Absolutely not. This image is what it is.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 77D, Canon EFS 18-55mm & 420-800mm lens, Canon fisheye lens, cleaning equipment, head light gear, spare battery, spare card, plus tripod attached.

Feedback

Patience. Images like this take time, do not disturb the grass or nature around as this would make the droplets disperse and you will just get a watery toadstool. If natural light is in your favour, use it, but do not be afraid to use the flash if it is needed. It is better to get a natural image than one that has been photoshopped.
