Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a local beach where i live in the hamptons of long island.

Time

This picture was taken about mid afternoon. The sun was perfect. and the tide was just right to capture the perfect moment.

Lighting

Since it was about mid afternoon the sun was at its highest point of the day but since it was also cloudy that day the light in the clouds made for a perfect black and white shot.

Equipment

Oddly enough i used my iphone 7 to take this picture. People knock it when you say you took a picture like this with an iphone camera but sometimes the best quality comes from the unexpected.

Inspiration

I’ve always felt at home near the water. It’s my favorite place to be. It’s just so relaxing and peaceful most of the time. It’s also incredibly gorgeous there. which is just an added plus.

Editing

I didn’t really do that. i just took out my phone played with the settings alittle and captured the picture.

In my camera bag

Well, again considering i took it with my phone camera i don’t really have a bag.

Feedback

Don’t over think it. the best things in life come when you don’t try to hard to capture it. When you’re too focused you over analyze what you’re seeing which end in your moment not being captured correctly because you start focusing on little details thag don’t necessarily need to be focused on.
