This shot was taken one sunset on my honeymoon in Maui.Time
I went down to the beach every evening to capture the Hawaiian sunsets.Lighting
I really wanted to capture the sunburst through the clouds since it had been such a rainy day.Equipment

I flew all of my gear over 8 hours so I wouldn't miss one sunset or waterfall while in Maui. What's not inspiring about such a gorgeous area?Editing
I just ran the RAW file through Lightroom and adjusted some minor lighting issues.In my camera bag
I always have my Canon lenses (wide angle, macro, portrait, and 18-135 mm), ND filter, and tripod.Feedback
Patience and a large CF card. :) Practice makes perfect and the only way to practice is to just shoot. I took around 400 photos each sunset playing with shutter speeds and F-stops to capture the waves at different moments as well as the sunburst.
