Location
I took this photo outside a fast food restaurant while I was waiting for my lunch. It really was a random opportunity to snap up an image! This was in Stockholm, Sweden.Time
This picture was taken just after midday, I normally prefer taking photos of wildlife early in the mornings, but couldn't help myself when this crow came to see what was on the lunch menu!Lighting
With my telephoto lens I wanted to get as much detail on the birds face as possible!Equipment
For this photo I used my Canon D100 camera as well as my telephoto lens, a Tamron 70-300mm lens.Inspiration
This photo was taken by pure chance! While waiting for my lunch, the crow landed on a picket fence next to my table, I had my camera out looking at the other photos I had taken during the morning so I was able to snap him up quickly before he flew away again!Editing
I did do some post-processing on the image, however it was very little. I lightened the shadows to bring out more of the details and possibly added a little more vibrancy to the colours. In my camera bag
I carry a lot with me, mostly because I cant make up my mind what I will shoot on the day! So I need to be prepared to snap anything and not miss an opportunity! I have my Canon body, 4 lenses, an external flash, my tripod, a ring flash and plenty of batteries! If I know I'm going to take a lot of images, I carry my MacBook as well so I can download photos off of my memory cards through the day! Lastly, part of my "equipment" involves a snack of some kind as normally I go out for hours at a time and need to snack on the go!Feedback
As this picture was taken by chance, the only advice I have for you would be generic. Always have your photographer glasses on and look for opportunities to snap up great pictures! Sometimes they come at the most unexpected moments, so always be ready!
