Location
This was taken at The Royal Gorge in Canon City, Colorado. Had my family there for the day and it was beautiful!Time
This was in the early afternoon. My sister and nephews were in from out of town and it was so beautiful out we decided to go to the Gorge. Slight threat of rain but stayed away long away for me to get this picture.Lighting
I remember I wanted to get this shot before the rain came. The clouds in the background over the mountains provided a great back drop. The sun was still out over us providing a great look at the canyon, river and even see the rail road tracks at the bottom.Equipment
Canon EOS Rebel T5. No use of any other equipment.Inspiration
The scenery itself. I have been to the Gorge many times since I was a child and it is astonishing. This is the highest suspension bridge in the USA and always wanted to take a great photo that shows this.Editing
With this photo I just had to do a little Lightroom work on it. Nothing too major. In my camera bag
I always have my Canon EOS Rebel T5. My Canon 18-55mm Macro 0.25m/0/8ft, Canon 75-300mm , Sigma 18-35mm 1:18 DC and of course my Tripod.Feedback
This gorge and many others are beautiful. beware of the time of day. High Noon is the best to get the sun directly in the canyon. If you have a great back drop like this one has mountains that helps. Each canyon is so different, take many pictures from as many different angles as possible.
