I saw a family of swans by the pier here on Arran. I managed to get quite close to them, dad hissed at me, I backed off a bit and when both of them saw that I wasn't going to harm them they backed right off so I could take some photos of these beautiful graceful creatures, They are a family of 9 who swim around Lamlash. They get fed at the pier that is why you are able to get so close. the tourists love them they are quite a crowd pleaser !
