Very few statues remain at what was once the epicenter of the Roman Empire. A Villa from which one of it's most celebrated Emperors, Hadrian (known for his wall), governed Rome and it's provinces for 21 years.

Upon the end of Hadrian's reign, the Villa fell into disrepair. Around the fall of the Roman Empire, most of the marble, statutes and fixtures were stripped from the 120ha Villa, situated in Tivoli, to outfit the the present day Villa D'Este.
