So very good
See all

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in an garden near my home where I lived for a while.

Time

It was a early evening so the sun started to go down and creates some big shadows from the trees

Lighting

The light was very soft and still bright enough to shoot hand-held

Equipment

I used my favourite setup. With my Canon EOS 6D and a 24-70mm f2.8 Mark I. So quite perfect for nearly every light situation

Inspiration

I really liked the colour of the flower and specially how big it was. It was nearly as big as a hand.

Editing

After I had the shot I edited it with Lightroom and deleted some dust from the leaves with Photoshop. So nothing really special.

In my camera bag

I normally prefer to have my Canon 6 and of cause the 24-70mm which I used for this shot and in addition to this the 70-200mm f2.8 IS Mark II. This thing is such a beast for nearly everything.

Feedback

I thing the key of this image is that the centre must be perfectly in the middle and then I really love to have some littlebit background in the corners to create some contrast. And try to be directly above.
