I like the ants-view here, the look the dog gave you. Always look at you horizon with a critical eye. Crop some of the OOF lawn in front and crop out most of the building and place your subject on one of the thirds. It looks like the image can withstand a bit of cropping. It would place you Subject in the image and get rid of all the other things not contributing to your story.
