After the devastating flood on the Iowa River the people of Cedar Rapids wanted to celebrate their hard work. The normal location near City Hall was not available due to reconstruction work. So the festival was held at Kirkwood Community College. The fireworks looked a bit brighter after such a dark period in our lives.
