It was afternoon, not that it matters in a cave!Lighting
I used the ambient light from the spotlights in the cave, primarily the light that can be seen an the far right of the photograph.Equipment
I used a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS50, a hand-held with a Leica wide-angle, 30X optical zoom lens.Inspiration
The reflections were so amazing. The water is no more than 20 inches deep, but it appears as though you are looking through the surface to a great depth..Editing
I adjusted the contrast and white and black levels a bit.In my camera bag
I usually have my Lumix hand-held with me since it is small, but takes great photos.Feedback
Luray Caverns has many wonderful formations to photograph. Lighting can be a challenge and one must be patient because you are part of a large group tour.
