We camped behind the dunes near Hofn opposite Vesturhorn mountain and were treated with the most amazing display of the aurora borealis rippling over Vesturhorn. The tide was going out leaving wet sand so the lights and the shadow of the mountain were reflected on the sand to make a compelling composition.
