Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the playrun of the rabbits. Because they do never sit still it is always an adventure to get a nice shot. And I mean an adventure.

Time

I was doing some work in the garden when I noticed that Friedo was playful. It was shortly after midday, no wind and bright light through a little layer of clouds. He had this special look at his face. I just had to grab my camera.

Lighting

Actually I wanted to have more shadow in the photo. But I am new with using a camera. And midday is not the best to have a shadow. But this way the colorplay with his fur and gras really caught my eye. A perfect light for those highlights.

Equipment

It was made with a canon 1000D, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6, no other equipment

Inspiration

I always try to get good shots from animals. Especially from my rabbits. They are not too often in such a bright, playful mood. When I noticed it I thought „now or never“ I will get „that one special shot“ from Friedo.

Editing

No, this photo is not adjusted. This is the origin I took without modification.

In my camera bag

Canon 1000D and objective Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. I am planing to buy a second objective for distances

Feedback

Be patient, move slow around animals, look out for a special mood of an animal.
