In From the Storm

Kayaking on Lake Superior at Katherine Cove. I was coming back down to Niagara at Halloween,and stopped at one of my favourite places-Katherine Cove. It was about minus 10,and had been snowing.I met 3 girls from Michigan,and we decided to go out past the point for some "surfing". One of the three was not so bold,so I gave her my camera and she took this pic. That's me in the white kayak- we are heading back in on the double time as that is a large squall approaching. Superior can change on a moment's notice. When the giant serpent Mishipeshu (or Mishibijiw in Ojibwe) gets angry and shakes his tail,things can get dangerous on the water quick.
