Hard to think about how most of this tiny village was swept out to sea after the tide rose so high , taking cars down this stretch of water , tiny cottages were ruined .On the 16 of August 2004 100 home were destroyed. 75 cars ,5 caravans,and several boats.People clinged onto trees and rooftops to be rescued by helicopters.The cost of the damaged was nearly 15 million. Its a miracle that there was no deaths.

It was , but the village has now recovered fully being in lots of tourist.

When the tide comes in the water gets quite deep , but have never seen any body surfing down there :)
