Location
This photo was taken at the side of a bike track, the F 35 in The Netherlands. It's a cycle highway. The bank wasn't mowed yet, when I went back a few days later the thistle wasn't there anymore.Time
As far as I can remember it was early afternoon.Lighting
It was a perfect day, sunshine so no worries about lighting. I had to make sure the photo wasn't over exposed.Equipment
No tripod, I used my Nikon D5200, Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-140 mm 1:3.5-5.6 G ED. No flash needed.Inspiration
I love nature, I love flowers and I love pink. Everything comes together in this photo. What I really like about this photo is the fact it;s almost entirely green except for one small pink flower.Editing
The only post-processing I do is the occasional adjusting of shadows and highlights in Photoshop. And cropping when needed and most of the time that is needed. In my camera bag
Besides my Nikon D5200 camera I always carry with me the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-140 mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED and a Tamron SD 70-300mm F/4-5.6. I also have a spare SD 32 GB card and a spare battery with me and some stuff to clean the lens (brush, cloth ) I consider myself a starting photographer so I don't have any fancy equipment.Feedback
Here in The Netherlands you have to take photos like this when you see the flowers. A few days later they might be gone because most of the time the banks are mowed. Don't worry about people, they will look anyway and ask themselves what you're doing ;)
