Tow Tater, the 1951 International Harvester boom truck that was the real-life inspiration for the film "Cars" character Tow Mater, is at home at "Cars on the Route" in the small town of Galena, Kansas. (For those not in the know, a full size model of Mater is on the left in the photo.) Film producers for Pixar Studios discovered Tater in a Galena junkyard during a two-hour visit to the town while on their own venture down Route 66.
